What’s love got to do with it?

Remember that famous Tina Turner line?

For the younger folks out there asking, “Who the heck is Tina Turner”?

Tina Turner was a legendary vocalist who survived a tumultuous relationship with her first Husband, Ike. She famously sang about the relationship in her song “What’s Love Got to Do With It?”, a cynical song about the possibility of never finding or experiencing true love.

And yet… Tina’s story didn’t end there.

She went on to experience years of true, meaningful love before her passing in 2023. Proof that even after heartbreak, love can still find us—sometimes in ways we never expected.

What We Focus On, We Create

For years, we’ve shared our belief in the law of attraction. At its core, it’s simple:

What we think about, comes about.

Life has its highlights and lowlights. No one escapes that. But we’ve found that the lowlights can become less low and frequent and the highlights higher and more frequent if we focus on what we want to experience.

As we were experiencing some difficult relationships and challenges in our lives, we made a conscious decision to attract more love.

Years ago, on a particularly difficult day, Christina asked God and the universe for a sign. She looked down into the sink and saw a single strand of hair perfectly shaped like a heart. Shocked, she snapped a photo and sent it to me. She thought if we focus on love, more love will come into our lives.

Sure enough, we started experiencing an abundance of love and started seeing hearts everywhere! We’ve had so much fun collecting all of our random heart photos and we’re happy to share some of our favorites with you…

A discarded and dirty napkin on the street shaped like a heart.
A rock revealed by a receding wave, leaving heart-shaped sand behind.
A tree stump on a hiking trail that looked unmistakably like—you guessed it—a heart.

Once you start looking, you can’t stop seeing them.

What we choose to focus on shapes our experience of life.

Whether you’re healing from trauma like Tina Turner or simply wanting to amplify things like joy, love, abundance, or peace—we encourage you to ask for what you want and stay open to seeing it.

Because once you do, the universe tends to respond and reward you for your mindset shift.

Before you know it, you’ll be experiencing more of exactly what you’ve been looking for.

And when good things start showing up, don’t forget to pass them along. It’s what makes the world go round.

Until next time, we encourage you to love yourself and your neighbors as yourself,
