WHAT’S YOUR RIGHT SIZE?
This month, we’re excited to share that we’ll be teaching a class on Rightsizing at the King County Library branch in Newcastle. Are you wondering… what is rightsizing? Great question.
This class will discuss proactively de-densifying and decluttering your home to create more freedom and space. It will offer practical tips and creative ideas to help you simplify, pass treasures on to the next generation, and make room for what truly matters. What we teach can turn something that can feel overwhelming into something manageable, and maybe even enjoyable. Along the way, you may discover not only a sense of joy but even a few surprising benefits, including positive impacts on your overall well-being.
Rightsizing is about making your lifestyle dreams come true with clarity and intention. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with clients during some of life’s biggest transitions — leaving a longtime family home, simplifying after the kids move out, preparing for retirement, or moving aging parents. Each of these changes also brings the emotional task of sorting through possessions and beloved belongings filled with precious memories.
This past year, we worked with a client who had lived in his home for 65 years. What began as overwhelming and stressful ended in joy and peace. Walking through this process time and time again gave us a lightbulb moment — what if we could help others learn how to do this, no matter what stage of life they’re in?
There’s something especially meaningful about giving back to the community where we live and work. Our local library is so much more than a place to check out books — it’s a welcoming space to learn, connect, and grow, with free programs, events for all ages, and quiet corners to think or plan.
